What are the advantages of the CJ4R?

-> The CJ4-R offers professional-level OBD2 diagnostics.  This includes extensive actuation controls and re-learns.  The CJ4-R also offers a powerful 2 channel labscope.  Apps have been created to interact with your favorite mobile device including Android and Apple OS devices.  You now have the freedom to use a mobile device as a complete mobile display!  A wireless voltmeter has also been developed.   All of this is included with the purchase of the CJ4-R.

Aside from the size and the way it looks, what is the difference between the CJ4R and CJ7s?

->The CJ4R is a scantool with an integrated oscilloscope. The CJ7s can be configured to be a scantool or oscilloscope inserting expansion modules.  The expansion modules offers the ability to “future proof” your investment by adding to the scantool via the expansion slot.

What is the advantage of buying the CJ7s?

->On-board chipset has been upgraded for faster and more robust interaction with the technician.
->You are getting a bigger screen for easy viewing in color.
->The dual operating platform of the CJ7s gives you a choice of how to navigate through the programs, either with its keyboard or touch screen.
->The interchangeable modules permit the CJ7s to execute specific functions like an Oscilloscope and a Scantool.

What about updates?

->The CJ4R and CJ7s have 2 years of FREE updates starting from the date of purchase, after the 2 years, a license and activation code is required and is good for 12 months.

What is the procedure to update my CJ?

->The update procedure for either the CJ4, CJ4-R, CJ500, and CJ7s is basically the same. Two main steps are all it takes; First, download to your PC the latest update available, and Second, install the update files in the SD card(s) of your Injectronic device.
->Please consult the documentation included with your equipment for the applicable procedure, view the available videos on our web site, or contact us for help.
->PLEASE REMEMBER THAT AFTER 2 YEARS FROM PURCHASE A LICENSE AND ACTIVATION CODE IS REQUIRED TO USE ANY UPDATES INSTALLED THEREAFTER.

I installed a new update but my CJ4/CJ4-R doesn’t work now, what do I do?

->There may have been a file corruption or incomplete file transfer when the CJ4/CJ4-R unit was being updated.  It is recommended to restore a backup of your previous update (if available).  Retry the update process, making sure all steps are followed correctly.  If further help is needed, please contact our help desk @ 1-915-208-5451.

Will my CJ4/CJ4-R/CJ-500/CJ7s continue to work if I don’t update or purchase a license?

->YES, your CJ4/CJ4-R/CJ-500/CJ7s will continue to work as long as you DO NOT install a new update.  The new update will require a new license.

I didn’t update my CJ4/CJ4-R/CJ-500/CJ7s during the 2-year FREE period, now what?

->Don’t worry, your CJ4/CJ4-R/CJ-500/CJ7s will keep working, as mentioned before. Purchasing the update license will give you an activation code to use new updates, with the newest update, you will get ALL the updates that you missed before!

Do I have to pay a penalty fee for not updating?

->NO, you won’t be penalized if you don’t update during the 2 FREE years, or any time thereafter for that matter. BUT keep in mind that not updating during the FREE period WILL NOT EXTEND the FREE period. When you decide to update, just purchase the license and activation code at the current price, like anyone else, install the newest update and you’re back in business.
